COVID-19-induced psychosis: two case reports and narrative literature review

Abstract Introduction: SARS-CoV-2 infection might be presented in many various specific and non-specific manifest symptoms from different systems. Also, the psychotic are documented but explanation for their pathophysiology remains debatable a complex matter. The main objective of this paper is to present cases patients without history psychiatric disorders who developed first episode psychosis during infection. Material methods: Two not-related with no previous episodes COVID-19 In both chronologically they experienced infection, secondly, delusions psychomotor agitation that required hospitalization. Full remission was observed after antipsychotic treatment cases. Results: Even though post-COVID-19 unclear, some reports indicate associations between onset such symptoms. itself, by induction cytokine storm followed excessive release pro-inflammatory cytokines, considered stimulate potential psychosis, however, other factors as medications used (with particular emphasis on glucocorticosteroids) or psychological should well. Conclusions: Patients infected develop serious even prior history. Besides, only manifestations associated active SARSCoV-2 which seems very challenging especially rapid any clear respiratory
